For over 6 years, I have helped develop internal game development tools at Ubisoft. My role touched all bases of User Research (UR), User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Design.
Our tools are built to empower our developers to create even better games. They are tailored to address existing developer needs discovered through reports and daily observations. These tools can be unity-based, web-based or a standalone app.
My role often includes the following:
Conducting user research and translating the findings into actionable goals; documenting and presenting results to stakeholders
Translating complex artistic and technical requirements into wireframes, prototypes, mockups and final assets from end-to-end
Building and updating Design Systems with clear documentation in collaborative workspaces, such Adobe, Figma and Miro
Integrating and optimizing final assets with basic knowledge of front-end (HTML, CSS, SASS) and proficient integration skills within internal systems
Two of my most notable projects were built for the Rainbow Six Mobile team:
Project Launcher – An easy to use tool to manage workspaces and changelist stability, reducing the amount of time a developer spends maintaining their project.
Development Portal – A lightweight, developer- and QA-friendly solution for authoring and executing tests across multiple platforms.
